The Clontarf Foundation exists to improve the discipline. Life skills and self esteem of young indigenous men and by doing so equip them to participate more meaningfully in society. The Foundation achieves this through the medium of its Australian Rules football coaching program in partnership it has with the Clontarf Aboriginal College. A total of 16 boys have been drafted directly from the Clontarf Football Academy including Paddy Ryder, Leroy Jetta (Essendon), Nathan Krakouer (Port Adelaide), Mark Williams (Premiership player with Hawthorn now with Essendon), Michael Johnson (Fremantle), Chris Yarran (Carlton) and more recently Gerrick Weedon and Lewis Broome (West Coast).
