Clontarf Aboriginal College
Absentee Line:
Driver Education
The College’s award-winning Driver Education program is offered to eligible year 10, 11 and 12 students.
The purpose of the program is to teach students the WA road rules and to prepare and train them to be safe and responsible drivers. This includes education in the dangers of speeding, drink and drug driving, mobile phone use, fatigue and non-
wearing of seatbelts.
On successful completion of the program and attaining their Learner’s Permit, students have the opportunity to receive driving lessons from the College’s qualified driving instructor in either a manual or automatic, dual-control vehicle.
As lessons are provided during class time, students must be approved and released by their respective teacher. Appropriate attitude and behaviour are essential in the classroom and on the road.
