Absentee Line:
Community Centre
The Wanju Moort Community Centre was opened at the beginning of November 2013 just in time to welcome our parents who traveled long distances to attend the Year 12 Graduation Ceremony.
Wanju Moort means “welcome families” in the Noongar Language and has certainly lived up to it’s name over the last four weeks of term by hosting many functions for parents and guests to the College community.
Our centre is for our parents and visitors who come to the school either to talk about their child’s academic progress or just to have a cuppa and a yarn. We also have a resource section for our parents if they need to use a computer.
There is also a place for our students to use the “Chill Out” space if things aren’t going to well for them during the day.
We have made the Community Centre a welcoming and comfortable environment for our families to use whenever they would like to visit.
Finally we would like to thank Herbert Smith Freehills for their financial support with helping purchase furniture for the centre and our Principal Mr Troy Hayter for providing this space for our families.
