Girl’s Academy

Learn more about Clontarf Girl’s Academy

The Girls Academy develops and empowers Aboriginal girls through leadership training, mentoring, sport and extra-curricular programs. Our goal is to create an environment within schools where the girls receive the support and programs needed to help them realise their full potential.

Programs have been developed specifically to ensure the girls achieve the necessary skills for further education, training and employment, and at the same time have the opportunity to improve their sporing and life skills.

Our staff’s main priority is to build positive relationships with the girls and to provide support in their academies and daily lives. We aim to provide support for the girls to empower themselves so that they can have a positive impact within their families and communities.

The academy has an “Open-door” Policy for students throughout the week, making it easy for our girls to walk in and speak to staff whenever they need to. We understand that each student is unique in every way and we take time to develop individual relationships.
